Historic 1920s museum at Loomis Ranger Station, Lassen National Park, California, USA, in winter


The historic Loomis Museum and Visitor Center at Lassen National Park is located next to Manzanita Lake. It offers exhibits, an auditorium and bookstore, featuring photographs of the 1914-1915 eruption cycle. Take a walk on the Manzanita Lake Trail and Lily Pond Nature Trail for spectacular views of Lassen Peak and the Chaos Craqs. Additionally, birds, waterfowl and wildlife may be spotted. In the summer, ranger-led programs are available.
