I want to explain tothose who are not of the trade just whatthe association stands for. It is not forthe purpose of fixing and governingprices, but it is rather .to work out manythings which our association and ourcomplete co-operation could help us toachieve. To accomplish the best -results it isnecessary that we have confidence in ourfellow-merchants. We must be honestin the things which we ask hdm to assistus in bringing into force, and we mustbe in every sense fair to him. We mustrealize that he is not an enemy. Wemust realize that by working togetherwe can achieve results which we can-notpossibly attain if we work from an in-dividual point of view
