Thailand: Major Luang Khuang Abhaiwongse (17 May 1902 - 15 March 1968), Prime Minister of Thailand (r. 1944-1945; 31 January 1946 - 24 March 1946; 1947-1948), c. 1940s. Major Luang Khuang Abhaiwongse was Prime Minister three times. During WWII he received the title Major after joining the guard of King Prajadhipok (Rama VII). He was elected as Prime Minister on 1 August 1944, during Japanese occupation. On 17 August 1945 he resigned to make way for a new administration. His Democrat Party won the fourth national elections in 1946, and he became Prime Minister, albeit only for 45 days.
