Texas energy department called the Texas Railroad Commission held a town hall meeting on Thursday, refusing to take questions from residents. In response environmentalists united to have an unofficial town hall meeting on Monday, 13 January 2014. Over 300 residents me to hear Sharon Wilson of the Earthworks Oil & Gas Accountability Project, Marc McCord of FracDallas and Gary Hogan of North Central Texas Communities Alliance ask for volunteers to go to the TRRC meeting in Austin, Texas, and get answers.
