A large proportion of the hay and grain crop has been damaged by rain or delay in cutting. Most crops except on well drained land have suffered considerably. Corn was late during the growing season, but had sufficient time to ripen ; for the frost came later than usual in this vicinity. The first killing frost occurred Sept.
