Cutting the Bark to Receive a Bud A T-shaped incision is made in the bark of the stock on which the bud is to be grajted, and the edges about the vertical slit are turned back, exposing the cambium layer. The slice oj bark with the bud (see page i8i) is then slid into this pocket, and the bark of the stock is Jolded about it and secured with a string.
