Washingtons Birthday was never more fittingly observed inMeriden than it was by the gathering there Wednesday by theConnecticut Society of the Sons of the American Revolution fortheir tenth annual banquet. It was held at the Winthrop linteland was in every way a success. Over 20n Sons were present asguests of the John Couch branch. Their welcome to Meridenwas a cordial one. Among the visitors were many men whose forefathersnames are found in Connecticut history; whose aneestoiswere famed for their deeds of valor under the leadershipof Washington in the great struggle for liberty.
