Head deep round, very hard; interior decidedly compact, leaves composing head smooth and closely arranged. Texture crisp; flavor good; ideal for high quality kraut. Early Glory A recent introduction intended primarily to provide shippers with a variety of the popular Glory of Enkhuizen type, but earlier. Head very similar, globular and solid, but a little smaller. Glory of Enkhuizen: excellent for midseason cabbage 7 5 85 iy2 6 103 7 454 71 Early Round Dutch < 74 4 71 Plant small with short stem. Relatively non-bolting under winter growing conditions. Head nearly round, /z'-Vz' deep, solid and of good quality. Fottler's Early Drumhead 10 9 85 An old second early variety for home garden or local market. Stem very short; head large, flat, fairly firm. GLORY OF ENKHUIZEN 8 5 77 Head large, round, solid, with large gray-green outer leaves of excellent quality. A popular all-purpose, midseason variety grown extensively for produce shipping, local markets and sauerkraut.
