Memorial to commemorate the site of a wartime aircrash of a Halifax bomber near the summit of Swil How, Coniston Fells.


This memorial marks the site where a Royal Canadian Airforce Halifax bomber crashed during the Second World War. It is near to the path on the ridge known as "Broad Slack", which connects the summits of Swirl How and Great Carrs in the Coniston Fells, near to Consiton Village. The memorial contains a plaque with all the names of the aircrew who perished in the accident.
