These signs are used where all trains must be under control, or cometo a stop, the Slow sign being set 2,000 ft. from the danger point, while trackcrossings have the Stop signs at a distance of 300 ft. in each direction. TheBaltimore & Ohio Ry. uses similar signs. The post is an old rail, 13 ft. long,set 3 ft. in a 12-in. hole, 3^ ft. deep, fitted with concrete.
