A late 19th century view of Edinburgh Castle from the Grassmarket, a market square located in the heart of the city’s Old Town. The Grassmarket is one of the oldest parts of Edinburgh and surrounded by classic tenement buildings that line the roads, it was originally used as a marketplace for horses and cattle before falling into ruin in the 19th-century.
