Height, about 4> feet. Green leaves, tinted at base; spikes numerous ; large, round petals ; flowers crimson. General Dodds. Height, 4 feet. Rich deep bronze foliage; good grower; flower deep ver- milion, with slight crimson dots, of good size, re- flexing more than in other Cannas. Gloriosa. Without exception this is the most useful and beautiful Canna yet introduced. It is the only dwarf-growing variety that has excep- tionally large individual florets and numerous long trusses of bloom. It received a gold medal, the highest possible award, at Omaha, where a number of plants were bedded out upon the Trans-Missis- sippi grounds from May until November. Ama- teurs and .florists generally agree in the opinion that Gloriosa is the most beautiful dwarf Canna introduced. The magnificent flowers are of a rich scarlet-crimson, with a distinct golden band around each petal.
