SAN DIEGO (June 16, 2017) Command Master Chief Kelly McNulty (left), Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD), Chief Hospital Corpsman James Engel and Hospital Corpsman Seaman Recruit Ferdinand Echon, cut a ceremonial cake at the 119th Hospital Corpsman Birthday Ceremony. NMCSD hosted the ceremony to honor the hospital corpsman legacy since the rates creation in 1898.
