The remains of the prehistoric village at Torre d'en Gaumes Menorca Spain

Discovered all over the island are extensive prehistoric settlements containing well preserved Talaiotic buildings. These stone dwellings date from around 1400 BC and were used as burial chambers as well as homes. They feature circular chambers with central pillars and there is evidence to suggest habitation until Roman times.
