LABA remodels the neoclassic Pla Palau building in Barcelona. Spanish office Laba has recently renewed a part of the complex “Porxos d’en Xifre”, a neoclassic residential construction (1836) situated in the Old Port area of Barcelona, the ancient nerve center of the city. This project was completed in 2012 and consisted in reforming the most representative block (as the original promoters' residence) out of the ten which compose the complex. The project is part of a urban plan focusing on the need to rehabilitate and revitalize this area, which is currently going through a condition of marginality in spite of its strategic position.
