OBSERVATIONS. This is the C. bivittatus of MelsheimersCatalogue; I certainly would have adopted hisname, had I not inadvertently pre-occupied itwith the description of the preceding species,before I was acquainted with this insect. Itcan be readily perceived to be specifically dis-tinct from either of those represented with iton the accompanying plate, by the confluentdensity of the thoracic punctures, as well as byits colours and their arrangement.
