5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (June 26, 2017) An MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the Grandmasters of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 46 approaches the flight deck aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Carter Hall (LSD 50). Carter Hall, part of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group, is deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
