A fence has been erected over the cairn & about a third of its diameter has been lost on the W. Old road surface is visible on the verge in the foreground. Kensaleyre North Cairn is part of a Neolithic & Bronze Age ritual & funerary complex of cairns & standing stones centred on NG 425506, E of the A87 & just SE of the B8036 junction.
