Britz-Süd underground railway station serves the U7 subway line, opened September 28, 1963 as part of first south-east extension of the U7 - Britz, Neukolln,Berlin,Germany It was designed by Werner Düttmann with a central platform and the simple design uses ochre tiles on the walls with a base of grey tiles. Photographs on the interior walls feature the nearby Britzer Garden. The supports are clad in grey tiles. The older southern exit leads into a vestibule on Gutschmidtstraße, the northern exit was opened on September 3, 2003 as a security measure The station was given monument protection in 2018 together with twelve other stations that are representative of West Berlin subway construction of the 1960s and 1970s. On January 2, 1970, the line was extended from Britz-Süd to Zwickauer Damm .
