Theirplaying is excellent and they present a fineappearance in their new uniforms. Throughthe kindness of the officials the band boys werepermitted to accompanj the Moimt Clare base-ball team to Grafton, W. Va., recently, a specialPullman car being pro\ided for the joint useof the organizations. This great favor wasdeeply appreciated by both the musicians andthe ball MR. AND MRS. HENRY \M:ITZEL The accompanying picture is of Henry Weitzeland Mrs. Weitzel. Mr. Weitzel is now a pen-sioner, after having served the Company faith-fully for forty-two years as an employe of thepaint department. Mr. Weitzel was born on May 21, 1845, andentered our service on April 10, 1872. He waspensioned on December 5, 1914. The many friends of Mr. Weitzel at MountClare recently gave a surprise party in hishonor. The veteran looks the picture ofhealth and the boys trust that he will enjoymany more happy years. A shadow was cast over Mount Clare when thenews of the imtimely death of C. F. Thuman,who was a cornetist in our shop band, becameknown. Mr. Thuman was drowned whileswimming in Bear Creek, near SparrowsPoint. The band marched from the home ofthe unfortunate young man to the church,plajdng General Lawsons funeral the band instruments were muffled andappropriately draped with crepe. Mr. Thumanwas a faithful employe of
