'Chartered Bank & Royal Exchange on Cleve St, Calcutta', c1900. Chartered Bank & Royal Exchange on Clive St, Calcutta, India. The Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China (The Chartered Bank) originated in London in 1853 by James Wilson (1805-1860), by a Royal Charter from Queen Victoria.
