Beneath the shoulder a deep band involvingromping boys in an elaborate floral scroll, and on the shouldertwo landscapes, while the neck is encircled by palmations and inthe interior of the neck are further small landscapes. All inblue of rich and especially brilliant quality. Has carved stand. Height, inches. 2-t6— e and Whitk Bkakkk-kokm Vask (Khikj-Iisi) Dense, heavy, sonorous white porcelain, decorated in cobalt-bluewith numerous figures in outdoor scenes, boys at play and pinetrees. Underneath the foot the six-characters of Cheng Una. //1 it/ht, 9 247—Two Bottle-form k and Whitk Vasks (Kanc/-hti) With ovoidal bodies, bulbous necks and beaker-shaped lips, on lowcircular feet. The pure white bodies and lower expansions ofthe necks painted in Delft-blue with tripods, scepters, books,emblems and flower-and-leaf scrolls, the body ornamentation inblue on a white ground between upward- and downward-pointingpointed-leaf borders, that on the neck-bulb in white reserve on ablue ground—reserve everywhere being generously utilized; whilethe higher and smaller bulb of the neck is glazed in a pale cafe-au-luit which is continued to the white-rimmed lip.
