This Building built by Helion de Villeneuve on the site of an ancient templeto the sun god it is a reconstruction of the original which was destroyed in 1856 when gunpowder held in storage for the Turks exploded after being struk by lightning. Renovations were completed when the Italians took over finishing the work in 1939
