Camphor, cultivated in Texas and southern California, it is said', will yield a profit of $450 an acre at present prices. The annual convention of the Ameri- can Association of Nurserymen will be held at the ?Hotel Cadillac, Detroit, Mich., June 12-14, 1907. Bridgewater, Mass.—Thomas A. Nor- ris and Martin Dolan of Brockton haye purchased the Lapham farm, so-called, on South street and will either operate it as a nursery or else sell off the ex- tensive nursery stock now growing there. The estate includes 100 acres of the finest land in town. For sevefSI- years the Shady Hill Nursery Co., of Boston, has operated it, and the land is now raising a large nuinber of valuable trees and shrubs.
