Sir John Thomas Duckworth (1748 – 1817) was an officer of the Royal Navy, serving during the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. In the Battle of San Domingo on the 6 February 1806, Duckworth's squadron defeated the French Admiral Leissègue. It became was a fatal blow to French strategy in the Caribbean region, and led to Napoleon's withdrawal from the Caribbean.
