The constitution having become somewhat out of date, a com-mittee was appointed to revise it at the annual meeting March 10,1884, and at the April meeting voted to have the revised copyprinted. June 9, 1884, the company challenged the Pioneer En-gine Co. to play a game of ball; the result was in favor of theTorrents, who won the ball and bats, and placed them as trophiesin the new engine house. In October, 1884, the members raisedby subscription the sum of $22 for the benefit of John , who was suffering from an accident.
