Lion on elephant kill, Panthera leo Nogatshaa
The lions of Nogatshaa in the Chobe National Park, Botswana, are infamous in the ability to hunt juvenile elephants. A survival startegy they developed after the Mababe depression dried up and the other ungulates and herbivores they normally hunted left.
