Farenheit 21 : India's first and currently only icebar, Mumbai. The bar is kept at minus 6 degrees Celsius all year round. The bar is built of ice from head to toe. That means the bar is ice, tables are ice, walls are ice, chairs are ice (albeit with rug coverings so your backside doesnÕt have shock) etc. A waiter dressed in a duffle-style Parka coat serves you a range of drinks in ice-made glasses. Three Indian men who built the Chill Out Ice Bar in Dubai quit the Sharaf Group, who owned that bar, and started this venture in Mumbai which opened in November 2009. They got the idea first of all from the Absolut Ice Bar in London's Heddon st. At this Andheri ice bar, the Rs 750 entry includes the cost of hiring warm moon boots and a thick insular Parka jacket and gloves, to keep you warm inside. Thus far it's proved to be a big hit the owners put attribute their success down to the novelty factor. In a city where the mercury rarely dips below 30C the chance to experience these temperatures and dress accordingly in a party atmosphere keeps drawing them in.
