The faulty, sin-ning and distressed have not been refused herkindly ministrations in any condition, and hernoble missionaries have wrought must earn-estly as prime factors in its progress, andnaught but reverence and honor should beaccorded to them. Christian Anderson, now a prosperousmerchant and stockman of Amnion ward, inBingham county, Idaho, is also the localbishop of the Church of Latter Day Saints atthat place. He was born on December 11,1863, at Mantna, Utah, being a son of Thomas. CHRISTIAN ANDERSON. BINGHAM, FREMONT AND ONEIDA COUNTIES, IDAHO. 281 and Sidse Anderson, natives of Denmark,where his father was a shipbuilder, but who,in deference to the demands of his religiousfaith, came to the United States in 1849, mak-ing the perilous journey across the plains toUtah with ox teams, where they located atSalt Lake City, later removing to Montana,where the father still resides, eng-aged in farm-ing operations and serving his church as ahigh priest. His marriage occurred in Utahin 1862, and from this union there came fourchildren: Christian, Charles, Helena andJoseph. Bishop Anderson passed his youthful daysin Utah, being intelligent, alert and possessedof a vigorous constitution. At the age of fifteenyears he commenced his personal operationsin the raising of sheep, they becoming laterof scope and importance.
