With the possibility of a high tide and onshore easterly winds the Environment Agency have issued a Flood warning for Whitby harbour and the River Esk for Friday the 13th of January 2017. Here a small fishing boat is moored in the harbour at Whitby but is in danger of being swept ashore as the high tide flows over the quay side. The boat is the harbour in front of a late afternoon sunlit Whitby Abbey.
