The South Carolina National Guard hosted its first “Battle Challenge” at McCrady Training Center in Eastover, South Carolina, Jan. 28-31, 2017. The Battle Challenge is a mobile obstacle course requiring participants to perform nine tasks under pressure of time, including a cargo net climb, a knotted rope descent, wall surmount, ammunition resupply, low crawl, gas can carry, marksmanship tasks, and a service member-down rescue. The event was open to all military service members, law enforcement, first responders, firefighters, protective services and their 18 and older family members. ( Arm
