Long Bien Bridge. Historical image of the Long Bien Bridge, over the Red River, Vietnam. This bridge connects the two Hanoi districts of Hoan Kiem and Long Bien. It was built between 1899-1902 by the architects Dayde and Pille or Paris, France. Prior to North Vietnam's independence in 1954 it was called the Paul-Doumer Bridge. Photographed in 1902.
