Seed should be sown from May to September for succession. Where only one sowing is made, July should be preferred. Cin- erarias grow so freely that the seedlings may go straight from the seed-pans to thumb-pots. After transplanting, place in a cold frame facing north, if possible. \A'hen the pots become full of roots, shift into larger ones till the flowering size is reached.
