After Last Friday’s announcement by Outgoing Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, The Netherlands must close all areas of entertainment and hospitality, other than a take-away, the law was enforced this evening and will run from: 17:00 – 05:00. Face-masks are to be worn in all public places and on public transport, and social distancing to be observed. The order will remain in place until 19 December. The Netherlands is experiencing a surge in Covid-19 cases and hospital admittance. 21,350 positive tests, 2,598 corona patients in hospitals, of whom 528 are in intensive care.
