The present tapestry is one of a set of 7 hangings offered by Louis XVI to the Duchess & Duke of Saxe-Teschen. (Soustelle). The tapestry features a second border, created by the painter Maurice Jacques, which was woven from 1768 to 1797 in Audran & Cozette workshops (Soustelle).
