ALBANY, NY (Feb. 25, 2013)-- The Wicks family gathered for this photo after the completion of their son Jacobs enlistment ceremony. Jacob Wicks, son of New York National Guard Command Sergeant Major Cmd Sgt. Major Frank Wicks and the newest member of the New York Army National Guard's 2-108th Infantry, enlisted Feb. 25, 2013 at the Albany MEPS. The Wicks family is deeply tied to the National Guard with a history that can be traced back to the Civil War when his grandfather's grandfather served with the Massachusetts Volunteers in Louisiana.
