Brig. Gen. John Pippy was ceremoniously pinned to his current rank by his wife and daughter at Fort Indiantown Gap on May 14, 2022. Pippy is concurrently assigned as the land component commander of the Pennsylvania National Guard and the deputy chief of engineers for National Guard affairs at the Army Corps of Engineers Headquarters. His previous assignments included command of the 55th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade and the FEMA Region 3 Homeland Response Force.
