Gothick Arch, Lacock Abbey, Wiltshire, 1945-1980. Lacock Abbey was founded as a house for Augustinian canonesses. Following the Dissolution it was bought by Sir William Sharington who converted it into a house. Here the west front is glimpsed through the Gothick Arch. Both were remodelled in the Gothic style in 1754-1756 by Sanderson Miller.
