Heart muscle. Fluorescence deconvolution micrograph of a section through heart muscle (myocardium) after coroanry bypass to treat cardiac arrest. Contractile actin is green, blood vessels are blue and beta adrenoreceptors are red. Beta adrenoreceptors respond to adrenalin, causing a sympathetic (fight or flight) response. This makes the heart beat harder when adrenalin levels rise. Magnification: x600 when printed at 10 centimetres wide.
