As the visitor turns into this avenue he will see on hisright the beautiful monument erected on the Humphrey lot,representing Hope -with an anchor ; and on the left a smallbut neat and appropriate memorial to the late Leopold Her-wig. On the right again will be seen a broken granite col-umn, marked Lienow ; then the Gould monument on theleft. The ornamental lot of Messrs. Tisdale and Hewinswill be noticed on the left, and will undoubtedly attract theparticular attention of the visitor. To the great credit ofthe owners of this lot, it may be remarked, that it is alwaysin the best order, and the keeping it so seems to be to thema pleasure.
