Head black; thorax and abdomen orange ; extremity of femora, tibioe, and tarsi black; abdomen with the last four segments black; slight white marks at sides, and the ventral surface white. Fore wing orange, with wedge-shaped hyaline patch in cell, a fascia below the cell, and patches in interspaces beyond the cell; a large black discoidal lunule, with black streaks on costa above it and veins below it, and patch on inner margin ; the apical area fuscous, tinged with grey. Hind wing orange ; the apical area black. Hah. Cayenne, 1 S type f in Mus. Oxen. Exp. 28 millim. 329. Paramya chrysonota, n. sp. (Plate VII. fig. 3.) (J . Black ; antennae white at tips ; frons and tegulas with blue patches; meso- and metathorax with bluish-white patches; abdomen with golden-green dorsal, lateral, and ventnil fascia3. Fore wing with elongate hyaline spot below middle of cell; elongate spots above veins 3 and 4, and more or less prominent specks above and below 6.
