Wreck of German submarine U20, the U boat which sank the Lusitania. U20 ran aground at Vrist, Denmark on November 5th 1916, whilst trying to assist another U boat. She resisted all attempts to refloat her so a torpedo was deliberately detonated in one of her forward tubes to prevent her from falling into enemy hands. The photo was taken a few days afterwards.
