Clear porcelain covered with a rich, unctu-ous glaze of robins-egg souffle with a dull luster, the glaze ex-tending to the interior of the neck and underneath the foot, andexhibiting in equable distribution the characteristic blue andgreen tones. Themirror-black glaze, which coats the exterior throughout exceptfor a white stripe at the upper and lower edges of the flangedlip, is of the ravens-wing variety, witli lustrous metallic reflec-tions. The rich abundance of the gold and silver ornamentationon the body includes blossoming tree peonies, magnolia flowers,birds perched and flying, singly and in pairs, among them thepheasant and the duck, and a leaf-scroll border—many blossomsbeing silver on golden stems and branches.
