By the loth of July the little plants should be trans-planted, either to the places where they are to bloom the following summer, or elsethey may be set out temporarily in rows about a foot apart, the plants eight inchesapart, and finally transplanted early in October. Some evergreen branches, or alittle straw or coarse hay, thrown over them when the ground begins to freeze,makes all the winter covering these plants require.
