An F-16 Fighting Falcon pilot taxies to the flightline for takeoff during a close air support training exercise Dec. 17, 2013, at Aviano Air Base, Italy. During the exercise, Aviano pilots fly as low as 1,000 feet and communicate with joint terminal attack controllers on the ground, who call in the simulated air strikes.
