A Spectacled caiman or common caiman is a common sight along the banks of the Mutum River, (Rio Mutum) in the world's largest wetlands of the Pantanal in Brazil. The Spectacled caiman’s diet is mostly fish and water snails and is not known to attack humans unless a person is bleeding. The vast region attracts much tourism for its abundance of wildlife, flora and rainforests, which generates a lot of income into the local economy. The Pantanal is the world’s largest wetland of 42 million acres covering parts of two neighbouring countries, Bolivia and Paraguay. Brazil has the largest area of this pristine ecosystem.
