CoqArd chicken eggs. The CoqArd is a variety of domestic chicken (Gallus gallus domesticus) that has been bred by the faculty of veterinary medicine, at the University of Liege, Belgium, to be high in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. The eggs are tested with a light system - if they appear red (centre), they are not fertilised. Photographed in Nandrin, Liege, Belgium, in 2003.
