Solar motor by Aubrey Eneas of Boston, c1905 (c1910). Demonstrated at Edwin Cawston's ostrich farm Pasadena, California. A reflector 33 feet ( metres) in diameter lined with 1788 mirrrors focused on a boiler producing steam to power a pump raising 1400 gallons ( litres) per minute. Cigarette card, c1910.
