The water cannons of fireboat John J. Harvey fire a salute on the Hudson River in New York on Saturday, June 25, 2016. Built in 1931 the boat was retired from the FDNY in 1994. The boat was reactivated on Sept. 11, 2001 and with other fireboats pumped water continuously for 80 hours until the mains were restored. Privately owned, the ship gives educational tours and recreational tours. (© Richard B. Levine)
