Arrival of Englishmen, (Whole map) Engraved map of the coast, including Pamlico Sound, Roanoke Island, the mouth of Albemarle Sound and part of the Alligator River, and the Carolina Outer Banks. On the mainland are two enclosed villages, Dasamonquepeuc and Pasquenoke; and a third, Roanoac, on the island. Figures are hunting deer, and fishing from canoes and a fish-weir.
